The “Grammatical features” field allows you to list the morphological features of the lexeme and/or the word form. You can either click “Choose” and select the features in the selection window or type them in yourself.

The set of grammatical features in the panchronic corpus differs from the markings of individual corpora. As a rule, it excludes the features annotated only in some corpora (e.g., prepositional government, aspects, animacy, countable form, proper names) or their treatment is aligned.

The field allows the use of the operators “OR” (pipe symbol |) and “AND” (ampersand symbol & or space); it is possible to use any amount of spaces around these symbols. For compound searches, use parenthesis. For example, the search S & (nom|acc) yields nouns in nominative or accusative.

A simpler way to search for certain grammatical features is to use the selection window (click “select” to open). The selection window contains a list of morphological features, subdivided by grammatical categories: part of speech, case, gender, voice, number, etc. Check the boxes next to those features of a word form which you wish to search for. Features within a category usually do not occur together (so, a verb cannot be in first and third person at the same time). If several features within a category are selected they are interpreted as using the “OR” operator (where such features do occur together, they will still be found). Features from different categories are interpreted as using the “AND” operator.
